GM names new communications VP (Detroit Free Press)
A day after General Motors announced an executive shakeup, the Detroit automaker on Wednesday named a new vice president of communications. Selim Bingol, 49, will begin Monday and report to Chairman and CEO Ed Whitacre. Bingol worked for Whitacre at AT&T. He will handle GM's global communications.
